Tag UR it!

These are a couple tags I made for my Activity Day girls. They need to be working on their Faith in God goals so if they get "tagged" then they have to pass one off and tell us about it the next meeting. I copied the idea from Karie. I think they turned out cute and it help me use some of my small stash of ribbon!

Tired of my cards yet?

I can only be creative in small amounts and cards fit the bill. Besides, we need to fill up space. (I know other people who look at our blog - Hi ladies!) Heidi had a wedding to go to this weekend so we made this card while she was here. I think it needs a little tweaking (name that movie). Any suggestions?

I made the other card for Jer's grandma using the embossed detail and idea I got at card group. I'm telling you, you should really join or create a group. You get lots of ideas, talk and treats (not to mention time away from your kids!)

I'm impressed with all the cute stuff Holly and Sandy have posted. I know Sherie is going share her genius shortly, so that just leaves Nat and Kathy. Nat - why not show us the cute stuff you've done with your house? Kathy - had any more work done lately?!? If not I'll settle for some cute cross stitch. Mom - I would love to see what you're working on. I'm sure Nat would be happy to post it for you. Keep me in the loop!

Another option for you...

Okay, so I made this for the store to help sell the patterns we have in-stock. But it definitely has potential. You take a tank top and cut off the bottom half and make a 'babydoll top' by sewing a fabric to the bottom. The bermuda shorts can be made this length or capri length (they are easy enough, but I'm sure Old Navy or Target has some just as cheap to buy). :{ Sorry the image is so dark - I couldn't get the flash to work. What do you think?

SANDYS PROJECTS

I can't wait to show you the fun thing Holly and I are doing with one of Karie's windows from a house tear down some time ago. Hopefully you will be happy to see it Karie. I hope to have it done and hanging in the store by next weekend's open house so keep your eyes out.

For now, I have re-punched my May kit with an addition, thank you for your input - I think it is an improvement and hope you approve. I also finished my new punch needle design and I love how it turned out. I framed it this morning and I love it, well for now anyway. I always seem to grow tired of my work quite quickly and am sure I will soon wonder what I was thinking.

Hope all is well with all the sis's!

Finally -they are revealed!

Okay, Ladies. Here are the darling pantalones! They can be made with one ruffle or two at the bottom. We can add simple shirts with applique like on the strawberry t-shirt. We have darling fabric in the store right now. My favorite line is called 'Ginger Blossom' and this line can be viewed at http://www.michaelmillerfabrics.com/. Let me know if this is the fabric you like, because we are selling it fast and I'll need to get it quickly. It certainly gets my vote, and Sherie I know you think I'm a little wild, but I do think you will like it too!
Those are Sandy's feet - of course not mine :) Camry does love these pants and cannot wait until they are hers. So they will appeal to the girls. I hear they are all on board with matching each other.

My take on your ideas

While Sandy was here, she told me about using empty CD cases to store clear stamps. I just happened to have a few on hand and tried it out. I think it works great. I used clear adhesive to stick the patterns on the outside so I'd know what stamps were inside.

Tonight is my card group and our theme is Mother's Day. Sherie suggested making a card with a bouquet of flowers tied with ribbon. This is what I ended up with. I used my Cuttlebug to cut the flowers and vase and scored the background with my stylus. I really like how it turned out. I didn't include any sentiment so it can be used for any occasion. What do you think?

AFTER IDOL THOUGHTS

OK, so I love David Archuletta - how could you not he is so cute. But I must admit, as much as I dislike looking at him - David Cook is really talented. I love how he can take songs by artists, Lionel Richie and Michael Jackson, and make the songs sound completely new. I also love Brook's unique voice. So, my votes for last night were David Cook, Brooke, and David Archuletta (simply for the cutie factor).

If you have'n't seen the store lately, Holly has done a great job of moving things around - we now have a cute kitchen up front and the bedroom has been moved to the south side of the store - there are also a lot of other smaller moves that give everything a fresh look.

Guess we'll blog tomorrow...

So I guess we are now just blogging each Tuesday?!? I know I can't say anything seems how I've only posted once and it was regarding Idol. Sandy, your punch designs are adorable, as usual. Holly, I can't wait to see the cute clothes you've made. Madi was talking about them tonight. Talk to ya'all tomorrow!!

More Idol Musings

So I wasn't big on another week of Beatles songs, but of course I'm full of opinions about the performances. Amanda has got to go - same thing every week. I still love Michael Johns no matter what the judges say. I thought Brooke did good and I liked that she switched to an upbeat song. So what if she dances silly, that's just how she is. What a comeback for David! I didn't care for Syesha or Ramiele. Once again I thought Chikezie stole the show. Oh, and did I mention I can't stand Simon?

FINALLY FINISHED SOMETHING

I have been immersed in an online scrapbooking class "Library of Memories" and though I have started quite a few projects I am slow at finishing things. Thought I would show you all my 2 new punch designs. The bird is my May punch kit and the cherries a new pattern.

I am on board with Holly and think we should follow in Mom's footsteps and dress our girls the same - at least for one day. The pants are soooo cute!! Now just to convince our picky little princesses that they think they are cute!

HELLLLLOOOO!?!?!

Hey where is everyone? What nothing on tv or in our lives worth sharing? I wish I had pictures of the darling things I made over the weekend to show you! Maybe they will be up on Pine Needles' website in the next couple of days. They are actually clothes. I think we should have all the cousins match while at Disneyland - that would help us keep track of everyone. They are sooo cute! Once you've seen the pictures let me know what you think. :)

Poor David! :(

OMG. I just finished watching idol. Poor David. I can't believe he did so poorly. Oh well, I guess you can't be perfect all of the time. Cheesey ( I don't know how to spell his name) was my fave. Thoughts??

Some "sew" and tell

I had my fifth migraine of my whole life last night. I wasn't able to get some sleep until way after 3am. Tyler was helpless and wasn't sure what to do with me bending over the old porcelain throne. I was finally able to take Exederin Migraine at 9am and the migraine was gone about 11am. Migraines suck! I don't know how you do it Nat!?! But before it all went down, I was able to get some sewing done over the weekend. This isn't the actual monkey I made but you can at least see how cute he is. I also sewed a "Mad Cow" and a nice little tote. Not bad for having 2 days off in a row. Hey Karie, what does the weekend of April 25th look like in your reservations book? Let me know. I would leave on Thurs and come home on Sunday.

Moab Mania!

We made it to and from Moab in one piece. You would think that the only one to worry about surviving this trip would be Clark since he was the one running. This is not the case, let me explain why the rest of us needed to worry.

1st Clark spends more time trying to spot wildlife than he does looking at the road.

2nd Madison needs a potty break every 30 minutes or so.

3rd Sidney asks every ten minutes "How much longer?" and

4th Clay feels the need to torture his siblings every chance he gets.

Isaac was a gem on this trip. He thought everything we did was great. I struggled not to shoot one person or another during this quick weekend. That includes the horrible people that stayed below us and kept complaining to the front desk that we were making too much noise! What do they expect? They are in a hotel! Anyway, it really wasn't as bad as I'm making it out to be. We had a fun time together and we will do it again next March. We are all so proud of Clark and look forward to cheering him on in his next race.

Finally, a day off!

Okay, so it's harder to be home with 3 kids, plus a nephew, plus a niece, plus a couple of neighborhood kids, than be at work. But at least I can wear slippers at home :) So I thought last nights Idol was also a bit surprising. I was glad to see the two guys go, but I was surprised that kristi was not eliminated. But I think she is still here because she is a dream come true for a lot of the male viewers. What could be better, a gorgeous blond who loves to fish, horseback ride, 4-wheeler ride, etc & still look great that night to go out on the town! Jack was certainly happy she still here - she's his fav. Camry was sad because she loved Kady (& I couldn't stand her) and she also loved Luke (his singing voice was too high for me). Good Idol all around. Oh and I can't believe it has already happened to me, but Camry hung up on me yesterday! She is only 6 years old and already I am dealing with this! She got an earful from Dad when she got home last night. She was trying to get permission to watch a PG-13 movie while at Trudie's house and I wouldn't budge so she hung up on me. Why doesn't Trudie just say "no" instead of saying, "you'll have to call your mom and ask her if it is alright."? I already went to Trudie & asked her not to let them watch PG-13 movies, it was getting rediculous. Anyone else have these issues?

Who's Your Idol?

Did anybody vote this week? I didn't and I thought the eliminations were a bit surprising. I am happy to see Luke and Danny go, but I really thought it would have been Chekezie, not Danny. Of course Kady had to go, but I thought A'siah would make it over Kristi Lee. I loved Michael Johns - who could forget about him?! The highlight of the week by far was Blake Lewis. I loved him last season and he is still fabulous. Anyone want to discuss Survivor?

A NEW SMILE

Kaylee got a new colorful smile today thanks to Dr. Ghiz. She was so brave and didn't complain a bit!

Rain Rain Go Away

OK, in Salt Lake it is more like snow, snow go away. I just finished framing my newest punch needle design, April - Puddle Jumpers. I think it turned out cute. Sherie is busy at home painting frames and tying bows so that we can start shipping tomorrow.

More card fun

I am having so much fun playing with my Cuttlebug! Thanks again Sandy, I don't know why you gave it up. What do you think of these fancies? (You'll see the embossing better if you click on the photo.) I'm still waiting to see what the rest of you are working on. Step it up ladies!
