I just was patting myself on the back, 1 down (sisters gift) and 7 more to go. So cute, she will love this.....I will just put one finishing touch.......NOOOOOOOO! I completely ruined it!!! (Oh, and I know I am one to be critical but I really am not exagerating - wouldn't give it to my worste enemy - wink wink - so you know it must be bad)

I have been on a creating kick lately including these little notebooks for Christmas shopping. I made one for each of us, if you are interested. Room enough to write down who/what you have purchased and a place to tuck receipts.

I have also been working on sister gifts. How about you? I expect to receive all of my gifts on time this year!! Get to work ladies!

My Kitchen

Okay, so these are not the best pictures, but the one on the top gives you a better idea of what the color is and the bottom one gives you an idea of what the wall looks like with the shelving. I think it really looks better in person, but Karie you asked for a picture, so this is all I've got! :) I must say that this little project has given me a little bug....what's next????

My Little Guy is 4!!!

You will have to click on the picture to see it enlarged. As you can see, we had a carnival. I think it turned out darling. My cake lasted long enough to get pictures, but isn't it cute!?! Madi did a FABULOUS job on the face painting. She really needs to hire herself out. She could make some moolah! Thanks to all the nieces for helping me, they were great! Happy Birthday to my little buddy. I can't believe it has been four years :(

Good read

So I thought I would pass along a good series for anyone interested. These books pick up where Pride and Prejudice left off, just after the marriage of Darcy and Elizabeth. (Why do they only call him by his last name?) The book pictured is the third in the series because I didn't think to take a photo of the first one, but you should read them in order. They are mysteries with a dash of romance - very proper, no smut. Check them out and let me know what you think.

A Good Day!

I must share a picture of my cutie on her first day of school.  Has the "meanest" teacher this year but she still loved going back as much as I love her going back. Yesterday my mother in law said that she remembered being so happy to "share Randy with someone else for a while" when he went back to school. I guess like father like daughter :)

favorite day of the year...

It's the first day of school!!! I can't believe how quiet my house can be even with the 3 youngest still at home. It is going to take me until December to get my house clean again, but at least there will only be three crying kids to listen to while I do it!!
They did look pretty cute headed to school today too!

...all by myself!! I feel a little bit like you guys now. I have a baby shower to go to tomorrow and I made a gift!! A baby wipe case and a couple of burp cloths. I'm feeling a little proud...can you tell?!? :)

As you know, Holly and her fam came to visit me over Easter and I loved it! The kids played, the husbands bonded, and Holly sewed for me. Look at my darling purse!We also made these canvas trees I saw on a blog. Can you tell the tree is Annie's hand and forearm? Clever, huh.

I love looking at all of the blog posts where they repurpose or restyle clothing. Well I finally bought two pink t-shirts, of course, that were on sale at Kohl's and made them into a ruffle shirt! What do you think? With or without the flower?

Do you like AI this season? There are some good people and some bad people this time around and the bad people have entire schools voting for them, so you better vote for who you like. My money is on Lee Dewyze. Watch him and tell me if you don't see Zach in him. He can really sing, but he's a little unsure of himself. We cast our votes for Lee and Crystal this week so I hope they stick around. What do you think?

I can't believe a whole year has passed since our little guy was born, how time does fly! I took a little trip down memory lane looking at all his pictures taken in the NICU. It is hard to believe he was that small - scary! Anyhow, here are some pics from his bday party - what a cutie!

For those of you who have not had the good fortune of seeing my newly decorated kitchen here are a few pics. I love the colors. So very sunny and happy :) It's hard not to smile in here even when you are making dinner!

Raingutter shelves

Hey ladies! Don't you have anything new to share? Nat asked me to post pics of the raingutter shelves, so here they are. I love them!

I never knew they made pretty raingutters. I just thought they were the ugly rectangle metal ones, but not so. The brackets and end caps are the most expensive part of this project. You can make the shelves as long as you want as the gutters are sold in 10 foot lengths. My shelves are 2 1/2 feet long.

You have to screw the brackets into a stud so it chops up the storage space a little. If you use a longer shelf you could space the brackets out and have more room. You should all try them. They are super cute and super easy.
